In Jacks or Better Video Poker, only the ranking of the hands is the same as in table poker. Since the game isn’t played against other players, but on a machine, your only goal is to end up with the highest ranking hand. When you have been dealt your five card hand on screen, you may keep or discard as many cards as you like. Once you have made your selection, click deal. The cards you got rid of get replaced and, should you have a lucky combination according to the payout schedule, you win!
The payouts in a Jacks or Better Video Poker game are as follows:
Royal Flush – This hand pays 4,000 or more coins when five coins are bet and only 250 coins for every 1-4 coins bet.
Straight Flush –Pays 50 per coin bet.
Four of a Kind –Pays 25 per coin bet.
Full House – Pays 8/9 per coin bet.
Flush –Pays 6 or 5 per coin bet.
Straight –Pays 4 per coin bet.
Three of a Kind – Pays 3 per coin bet.
Two Pair –Pays 2 per coin bet.
Pair of Jacks or Better – Pays 1 per coin bet.
When you are using this jacks or Better Strategy, look carefully at every hand before selection the option on the list that applies t the hand you have. There’s no rush, take the time to make the right decision.
-Hold all paying hands you are dealt, but break up a lesser paying hand if you get four cards in a royal flush.
-If you’ve been dealt a non-paying hand, hold the following (in this order):
1 ) Any four cards to a straight flush.
2 ) Any three cards to a royal flush.
3 ) Any four cards to a flush.
4 ) Any pair lower than 10s.
5 ) Any consecutive four card straight.
6 ) Any two high cards of the same suit.
7 ) Any three cards to a straight flush.
8 ) Any J, Q, and K of different suites.
9 ) Any two high cards of different suites.
10 ) Any J, Q or K with a Ten of the same suit.
11 ) Any single high card.
- And lastly, if none of the above appeared in your hand, select all new cards.
